On September 18, NWS Facility Technicians John Moss and Tracy Stokes, from NWS Southern Region in Fort Worth, delivered two 28 foot trailers to Galveston.  The trailers are being used by security and temporary duty personnel who are working to restore the NMFS facility.

NWS originally obtained the trailers in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and later retrofitted them for personnel temporarily assigned to locations where hotels and housing are not available.  Southern Region has a total of five trailers ready for deployment following devastating weather events or in other times of need.
