NOAA recently recognized its best and brightest at this year’s Administrator’s and Technology Transfer ceremony held in NOAA’s Auditorium in Silver Spring, Md. It was also the first time that NOAA Administrator Dr. Jane Lubchenco bestowed the awards. [more]

Score another win-win for both the nation and the environment. Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, NOAA received a total of $830 million to be used for a variety of mission-critical projects, from climate modeling and improved weather forecasting to habitat restoration, ship construction and satellite development. [more]
